Na Yoon
To Na Yoon and parents,
I've truly been inspired by you over these last three months.
The intensive part of the Ivy League Challenge has now concluded, and I hope you stay active in our community. Access to the community (including monthly impact project support workshops and masterclasses from me) is included in your tuition for the next 9 months, after which you can choose to stay involved for a low monthly fee.
In an attempt to capture your thoughts at this stage of the journey, I asked you a few questions during week 12. Enjoy revisiting these answers below.

YOUR NEXT STEPS.
12 weeks went by so fast! But that was just the beginning. Be sure to stay on track-- even when life gets crazy. We can do this, together.

Engage in the Community
Most students get knocked off track at some point due to academic and other demands.
Commit to join the workshops and masterclasses as often as possible.
Make it a priority, and let us all help you stay on track.

Join the Global Impact Council
Complete the Starter Stage in your Impact Project Guide so you can be nominated to join the Global Impact Council.
Then request one or more mentors who can guide you through your own meaningful impact.

Become a Mentor
Far too many teens are overwhelmed and frustrated with their unhealthy approach to college prep.
It's not right, and you can help.
1. Share your experience with friends or family who might benefit from joining the Ivy League Challenge.
2. Execute a meaningful impact project and then apply to become a mentor in the Global Impact Council
In your words...
I took some time to grab your answers to the questions I asked in our last class. Here is what you said:
What issue or problem were you facing before you discovered the Ivy League Challenge?
What did the frustration feel like as you tried to solve that problem?
Having finished the first part of the Ivy League Challenge, what would you say is different now?
Take us to the moment when you realized the Ivy League Challenge was actually working to solve your problem.
What does your life look like now that you have been through the first part of the program?
Your progress in the Starter Stage.

1. Your 7 viable impact project ideas
1. drawing lost and/or abandoned and/or abused cat's stories to raise awareness
2. creating a mental health + art blog that focuses on the importance of creative self-expression
3. fundraising for cat shelters and individual cat foster homes by painting (drawing?) cats, sort of like a commission?
4. Giving free art education to students in underprivileged communities
5. Making a podcast/youtube channel of some sort??? idk
6. Creating and publishing a book (I don't know what this idea is going to turn out like yet but this is something on my bucket list
7. Awareness on marine animals through art and recording my process on this on some other platform (not completely shaped out yet)

2. Core Values
creativity, diligence and empathy

3. Your organizations
κ³ μμ΄ μΉ΄ν μ§μ¬μ ν루 (in Korea) , FOUR PAWS.org (international) , Shiloh's sanctuary (local)

4. Presented Solutions
Art and cats/animal abuse is not something that is connected much, so there isn't an actual organization that directly connects to my cause. I will have to connect to cat abuse prevention organization such as the ones I've listed before to ask them about perhaps incorporating art into their advocation for animal rights. Also, there are only animal abuse related art exhibits of INDIVIDUAL artists, which does bring impact but still could have a bigger impact with a community of artists working to prevent animal abuse.

5. Your first action step
I want to try and become an executive member/marketing director of the cat shelter club I'm in, which will give me more chances to interact with the shelter we are working with. I need to reach out to cat shelters and 보νΈμ around me that may be interested in having an artist work with them.

6. Date and Time
I submitted my application on Feb 11th and got the approval for marketing director at the start of April. I will take this action by the end of this coming week.
